Purpose is to construct and operate a permanent oil and water treatment facility in Hay River, NT. The site of the proposed facility is currently owned by Carter Industries Ltd. (Lots 1903 to 1905, Plan 4046 L.T.O. in the Town of Hay River Industrial area.) The proposed permanent facility will include the construction of an engineered cell to receive petroleum hydrocarbon-contained soil, snow and water.

 Feb 1, 2017: As the operation is within municipal boundaries, and the monitoring wells are not to be installed with the use of a drill, the activities fall below the triggers for a permit. No permit is requried.
