The purpose of the work is the remediation of heating oil (petroleum hydrocarbon) impacts in groundwater and the saturated sand and gravel below the water table that could not be conventionally excavated. The proposed

remediation method is by injection of chemical oxidants into the soil below the water table to destroy the contamination. Additional work includes drilling up to 4 off-site boreholes to delineate potential hydrocarbon

contamination, and the installation of up to 6 groundwater wells on-site to monitor remediation progress and confirm success of the remediation program. See attached information.
